Looking back on a successful 2014! From intimate birthday parties to the planning of large weddings and holiday parties, Susan Lane Events was there along the way to ensure amazing foods and drinks, spectacular service and follow through in those small details that make all the difference. Fall ‘Camp’ Wedding Weekend in Fairlee, Vermont
Rehearsal dinner dets: After dinner, guests invited to an outdoor amphitheater for a blazing 20-foot high bonfire replete with s’mores and hot dogs on a stick and a canoe stocked with beer, wine and soft drinks
Ceremony at “Chapel in the Woods”: a magical spot in the woods transformed with ecru silk fabric curtains, giant planters containing curly willow, greens and flowers and lanterns dotting the landscape and hanging in trees everywhere
Jenny and Kendra’s favorite cocktail- the “Jendra”- Cava with a splash of St. Germain and a blackberry garnish
Family style desserts on walnut boards showcased:

Cookies decorating, visit from Santa and petting zoo for the kids
SPOTLIGHT ON SUSAN MGM Resorts Meeting Planner
Recipe Showdown
Susan was asked to compete in a meeting planners cooking contest in August. Locally, she competed against two other finalists and made it to the finals in Las Vegas where she competed last Fall against 11 others from around the US and Canada.
Susan came in THIRD place with her dish: Seared Tuna with Mirin Glaze, Asian inspired tomato vinaigrette and crunchy rice cake.
The three judges came from area MGM Grand Resorts and included the famous Julian Serrano from Aria. But in the end, it was Royden Ellamar, from Sensi, a Hawaiian native, who made sure Susan made it into the finals!
