I recently found what has become my favorite cocktail. It’s secret ingredient is St. Germain Liqueur. Hard to find, but don’t let that hold you back from looking for it. The liqueur is made with hand picked elderflower blossoms. It has a unique flavor which is bound to have you asking for more than one cocktail made from this suspiciously delicious nectar.
If you are looking for that one amazing cocktail to serve your friends this holiday season, it is this one:
Elderflower Martini
Muddle 1 lemon wedge, 1 cherry, 1 orange slice
Add Ice
½ oz. simple syrup
½ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. st. germain (elderflower liqueur)
1.5 oz. house gin
Shake and strain into martini glass. Float with sparkling wine.
Susan – god, I love your blog! I’ve read about this liqueur – but never found it locally – have you? ALso, have you ever had the lavender scented cosmo at Om in Cambridge? What a lovely drink – never figured out how they pull that one off!
Best wishes –
Lauren
